It appears that Cardi B‘s upcoming album might not be coming out this year as initially expected.

Cardi has some plans, for the rest of the year including some relaxation time and a potential beach getaway. Unfortunately her highly anticipated second album won’t be part of those plans. She then shared the news that her album won’t be dropping this year. “Anyway NO album this year I don’t care I’m relaxing this year .. Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.”

Celebrating the anniversary of her debut album “Invasion of Privacy ” Cardi hinted at what fans can expect from her anticipated second album. “6 years ago I released my first album and it broke so many records GAH LEE!!” she wrote at the time of the album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy award for best rap album at the 2019 Grammys. “6 years later I’m preparing to drop the next one this year.. it’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m sooo excited.”

For now fans eager for more of Cardi’s music can enjoy her tracks “Enough (Miami)”. Her collaboration with Shakira titled “Puntería,” which serves as the newest single, from Shakiras album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.”
