Ice Spice Drops New Single and Video “Gimmie a Light”

The song releases as Ice Spice prepares the release of her long-awaited debut album 'Y2K.'

Ice Spice is building anticipation, among her fans for the launch of her awaited debut album.

Recently the Grammy nominated rapper pleasantly surprised her fans with the release of the music video for her Gimmie a Light ” marking her official return after “Think U the Sh*t (Fart).” Ice Spice shared a sneak peek of the video on Instagram this week giving a glimpse of herself flaunting cash enjoying a party scene in a club and cruising in a pink Range Rover with a “Y2K” license plate (a nod to her upcoming album).

At 24 years old Ice Spices latest track samples parts of Sean Pauls hit song “Gimme the Light” from 2002. Was crafted by RIOTUSA. Fans got their taste of the song when she performed it at Coachella month.

Currently gearing up for the release of her album Y2K this will mark Ice Spices project since her EP Like..? back in 2023. During an interview on Today show in February she hinted at a collaboration, on the album. Expressed her venture into new musical styles.

“It’s definitely gonna be a drill album,” she said. “But I have a lot of different sounding beats that I haven’t really been heard on much, so I’m excited for those more than anything. I really want to know what my fans think about these new-sounding songs.”
